Our Story

Northwestern Delights was created after many years of home baking for the Frafjord family, including Mom (Jen) and daughters (Hannah, Reya, and Kenna).  Reya took a particular liking to making macarons. As a previous family and consumer education teacher, Jen shared her love of baking with her students and her family.  Her daughters became regular bakers in the home perfecting various treats including macarons, cakesicles, cookies, and other specialties. 

When daughter Hannah had her first child in June 2020 during the pandemic, she spent many hours in the kitchen learning new baking techniques.  With a little encouragement, she convinced her mom it was time to share the love of baking with the community.

Northwestern Delights is created under the Cottage Food Law in Wisconsin which allows home bakers the ability to prepare and sell flour-based baked goods.

We believe in the value of homemade, handcrafted quality baked goods. Not only do they warm the home, but our products will definitely warm your heart. We value locally grown, fresh ingredients made into traditional recipes that taste amazing. We like to keep it simple and emphasize flavor over flash. Your taste buds will be happy and we know you will be too.
